“Special, extraordinary, and lasting.”

When you have a festival like Crowe Fest, a festival so special that it has grown

…from a small gathering of folks celebrating the music of banjo picker extraordinaire and Bluegrass icon JD Crowe, to a festival that celebrates its 10 year anniversary by offering thousands the opportunity to spend Labor Day weekend enjoying world-renowned Bluegrass musicians like Crowe and The New South, The Grascals, The Lonesome River Band, and many more, in addition to as many fun-filled family activities as you can fit on an 111-acre farm…

The only way to describe it is by using words like “special, extraordinary, and lasting.”

Why is Crowe Fest 2010 so darn special?
First, there is JD Crowe himself, the world-renowned Grammy-winner musician, also known as “The Master of the 5-String Banjo.” Crowe, the quintessential Southern gentleman, is hailed as a major influence by most of today’s Bluegrass royalty, including the likes of Allisan Kraus, Ricky Skaggs, and Keith Whitley.  Then there’s the festival’s robust lineup, including Bobby Osborne, The Lonesome River Band, The Grascals, and the incredibly popular musical comedy act, The Moron Brothers.  Combine this with things to do, see and hear for every member of the family, and put it in a safe, fun, and just plain gorgeous setting, and you have an extraordinary, not-to-be-missed festival.

Enjoy someplace special even though you’re close to home
The 111-acre Ichthus Farm, nestled just outside Wilmore, Kentucky, is just 20 minutes south of Lexington.  It’s also just an hour and a half drive from Cincinnati; it’s even closer to Frankfort and Louisville.  In other words, Ichthus Farm is in the heart of the Bluegrass – which is appropriate, because Crowe Fest 2010 is a celebration of life in the Bluegrass, as well as the best of Bluegrass music.
